New year, new me… or something like that

If you’re reading this, Happy New Year! It’s January 1, 2025, and I’m resurrecting this blog from the depths of the Internet. I’ve never been good at journaling, but I love writing and making people laugh, so this is going to have to do. If you didn’t read the about page yet, here’s the short version: I’m divorced (technically “divorcing”, as i’m still in the throes of the joy that is asset division), I’ve moved back to New England from Florida, and am figuring how to do life on my own.

There have been so many “if I don’t laugh, I’ll cry” moments throughout this process that I figured I should share them with the world. Also, divorce can be a lonely place, and I want to create a space for others going through it to laugh, cry, and commiserate.

I’m not about the “new year, new me” because, quite frankly, I like the old me, but I am about building a new life for myself on my terms. And lucky for you, if you follow along, you’ll be on the ride with me.

Cheers to a 2025 that has got to be better than 2024! 🍾
