My last name is Slate, and since I was a kid, the phrase “clean slate” has driven me up the wall, especially when people say it with me in the room. Hence the name of this blog: “Not So Clean Slate.” Because let’s face it—life is far from spotless.

This blog is my way of sharing the highs, the lows, and the laugh-out-loud moments of this new chapter. It’s a place where I can talk about the struggles of starting over, the ridiculousness of trying to “have it all,” and the universal feeling that you might just lose your mind.
